Accessible Tourism Survey

Let’s make the world a more accessible place.

UPDATE MAY 2021 - SURVEY NOW CLOSED - THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSES

There are 14.1 million disabled people in the UK and, for many, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find suitable accommodation that allows them to explore different holiday destinations on home soil. The UK tourism industry set to have another bumper year in 2021 once lockdown restrictions ease but, what does a holiday in the UK look like for people with accessibility needs?

We’re fighting for change. We’re fighting to make the world a more accessible place and, we need your help!

About Omnipods and cabins.JPG

In 2018 -2019, a whopping 430,000 British adults did not take a domestic trip due to a lack of accessible accommodation options. And when you hear that the spending power of disabled people and their families in the UK equates to £249 billion, it’s a wonder more accessible holiday options are not available.

We passionately believe beautiful accommodation should be accessible to all, including those individuals who are disabled, in wheelchairs or have other mobility issues. We are currently the only provider of truly, accessible garden pods and glamping units in the UK and, that’s why we’re fighting for change. And we’re excited to announce that Paralympian and accessibility campaigner Hannah Cockroft is joining us on our mission to make the world a more accessible place.

How are we fighting for change?

We’ve teamed up with Paralympian and accessibility campaigner Hannah Cockroft to highlight the need for more universally accessible accommodation in the UK so that more people can enjoy the beautiful British countryside and have accessible and memorable holidays.

How can you help?

We need your experiences, your thoughts and your ideas on how accessible tourism in the UK can change. We’ve created a short survey covering all these areas and would be grateful if you could take five minutes to complete the survey.

THIS SURVEY HAS NOW CLOSED - RESPONSES ARE NO LONGER BEING COLLECTED. SHOULD YOU WISH TO LET US KNOW ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCES PLEASE EMAIL US AT INFO@OMNIACCESS.CO.UK
